  • Additional Topics:

    • When People Don’t Show Up

    • Sharing Your Story

      • Before- Who were you before you committed your life to Christ? Who would you be today if you hadn’t committed your life to Christ? What was your lifestyle like? How did you deal with challenges, setbacks, and crises? What were your hopes and dreams? Where were you spiritually?

      • Commitment- Recount the events and circumstances that caused you to consider Christ as the solution for your searching. Identify the steps that brought you to the point of trusting Christ. Who was foundational in introducing you to Christ? When did you realize you needed forgiveness and had to change the way you were living? (if you were introduced to Christ as a child, you might not have a huge commitment moment, but describe when it really became real to you and when you took your faith as your own)

      • After- What has life been like since you made your commitment to follow Christ? How has Christ made a difference in your life? How has His forgiveness impacted you? How have your thoughts, emotions, and attitudes changed? What has changed in your relationships with others? How has Christ impacted your hopes and dreams? How are you being used by God to bring about hope and restoration to the people and to the world around you?

      • This should be able to be shared in 2-10 minutes :) Contact Tyler with any questions!

    • Serving Ideas/Opportunities:

      • If you're looking for ways that people can get involved here in the church you can start with the Interest Inventory https://www.hisgoodnews.com/interests We have it updated for all of the current ministries we support. Have people look through and pick a couple things that they may be interested in. I will follow up and help them get involved. We really need help in First Impressions and Kid's Sunday School.

      • Servant's Heart Opportunities: Our team is always coming together to think of ways for our congregation to serve together.

        • One of the best ways you could get involved is to sponsor a night at Laundry With Love. You could sign up to help be at the event, provide food for the event, or both.

      • Feeding South Dakota- Feeding South Dakota really needs help this fall! You could sponsor a shift out at their location on Westport or at their food distribution site which is hosted at Good News on the 4th Tuesday of every month. At their location you would be packing emergency boxes with non-perishable goods that will go to places all around South Dakota and if you worked at the food distribution center you would help load food into peoples' cars. https://feedingsouthdakota.galaxydigital.com/agency/detail/?agency_id=110011 follow this link to find out more and to sign up for a time slot.

      • We put together care package boxes for college kids last fall. You could get a list of all the college kids from Good News and send them encouraging letters, gift cards, treats, etc.
