After School Teacher – K–1st Grade

Monday–Friday | 2:00/3:00–6:00 p.m.

Do you love Christ, love children, and want to make a positive difference in the lives of elementary-age kids?

Good News Children’s Center is looking for a caring, dependable After School Teacher to lead our K–1st grade group in a fun, active, Christ-centered environment.

A great opportunity for college students
This position is especially well suited for someone pursuing education, early childhood, child development, ministry, or a related field. Gain hands-on experience leading children, building relationships, communicating with families, and putting what you are learning into practice.

What you’ll do

• Build positive relationships with children and families

• Lead and supervise a group of K–1st graders

• Provide games, activities, outdoor play, and other engaging experiences

• Share the Christian faith through Bible lessons, prayer, and everyday interactions

• Help create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment

We’re looking for someone who

• Is 18 years of age or older

• Has a personal Christian faith and desires to share that faith with children

• Enjoys working with young elementary-age children

• Is dependable, patient, energetic, and comfortable leading a group

• Communicates well with children, parents, and co-workers

Previous experience with children is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Additional hours may be available on no-school days, during the summer, and as a substitute.
